The Seductions of Power

The seductions of power are nearly certain. This is especially true for the fearful and egotistical. And, such are those attracted to politics where power can be acquired with little physical risk.

Power not exercised is unsatisfying to those who have striven to acquire it. Thus, what ever power acquired by a politician will inevitably be exercised.

Power once exercised will be, if not countered by equal or superior power, increase.

Weak politicians can be controlled by voters.

Strong politicians can be controlled by money.

Powerful politicians can only be controlled by physical force.

The desire of politicians is for ignorant voters, compliant corporations, and disarmed citizens.

Nations fall either into either tyranny or revolution when they come under the control of powerful politicians.

The time of powerful politicians is upon us. The foundations of our democracy are shaking. It is uncertain if citizen education and contributions can save it.

Watch as these avenues back to Liberty are assaulted.

Paths close.

Alternatives diminish.
